INSTRUCTIONS:
Number your photos in consecutive order with a small piece of paper taped to the back of each (do not write directly on the photos!). Complete the following information for each photo in the album. The page titles will comprise the table of contents, with each photo getting its own page. Captions will appear beside the photos on their respective pages.
Page titles are necessary, but don’t have to be elaborate; captions are optional. In the case of extra-long captions, e.g. a list of the names of every person in your senior class photo, the text will appear on a separate page adjoining the photo. Type it EXACTLY the way you want to see it, i.e. include all capitalization, punctuation, quotes, etc. Keep in mind that information you provide may be useful to future generations wondering "Who ARE these people?" and "When was this picture taken?"
If you want to add a blank page or text-only page anywhere in the album, just note in the caption column that it's a blank page (no photo). Skip that number when you attach numbers to your photos. Give the page a title, if you wish, and in the caption column add any text you want to see on that page.
If you wish to add additional photos to an existing album, edit this sheet by noting where in the album you want the photos inserted. Example: If you want 4 photos inserted AFTER the existing page 67 in your album, attach the numbers 67a, 67b, 67c and 67d to the backs of your photos. This will tell us that those photos will be added between existing photos 67 and 68. Edit the photo numbers on the chart below, beginning with the first row, to correspond with your photos, i.e. 67a, b, c and d. Remaining pre-numbered rows can be ignored.
This file can be printed out for reference or to mail in with your photos. To avoid being charged extra for captions longer than 10 words and for Text-Only Pages, be sure to send this file, CAPTIONS.DOC, on a floppy with your photos when you order your album!
