All you do then is remove the corrupt hard drive (or we can do that for you) and re-install the donor, thus minimizing data loss and downtime.

What Should I Do Right Now?

If you are unfortunate enough to experience a data loss situation it is extremely important that you act quickly to ensure you minimize the problem. This means not installing any more programs or continued use of the hard drive. Doing so can make matters worse and could result in the complete and permanent loss of your data. Power down the machine as soon as possible and call us. We understand your urgency and will do everything we can to make your experience as stress-free as possible

When shipping your hard drive to us,
please have the following information available.
  • What operating system you are running. If you are not sure, just tell us the model and make of your computer.

  • The physical capacity of your drive or other storage media that has failed. If you don't know we'll try to help you find out. The model number of the drive is also useful but not required.

  • If the drive is using compression such as DriveSpace, DoubleSpace, or Stacker. These programs compress the directory and work differently than file level compression like Zip, Disk Doublers or StuffIt archives.

  • If you are using any password protection or encryption software. We will need to know what program you are using, the version and the password.

  • About the current problem, any particular symptoms or steps that led to the situation.


Once we have recovered your data, the information will be returned on a replacement hard drive(Chargeable) or on CD/DVD ROM.
